About Every Child Matters (ECM)
More than a curriculum — it’s transformation.
Our Mission
To equip youth with the emotional, cognitive, behavioral, digital, legal, and life skills they need to make safer choices, build healthier habits, and create a positive path forward — regardless of their background or circumstances.
Our Vision
A community — and ultimately a nation — where every child has the tools, support, and guidance to rise, to succeed, and to make decisions that protect their future.
ECM exists to break cycles, restore identity, and create youth who are emotionally strong, socially aware, and prepared for real life.

Yours Truly,
Eddie Ray Jackson, Founder

About the Founder — Eddie Ray Jackson
For nearly three decades, Eddie Ray Jackson — known across Louisiana and Mississippi as Coach Eddie Ray — has dedicated his life to serving youth, strengthening families, and uplifting communities. His passion began long before ECM, and every step of his journey has shaped the heart, purpose, and transformational impact behind the Every Child Matter movement.
Coach Eddie Ray is a mentor, preacher, coach, trainer, and servant whose mission is simple:
“To meet young people where they are and help them rise into who they were created to be.”
Three Decades of Youth Service
For over 30 years, Coach Eddie Ray has been hands-on with youth across every kind of background—guiding them through emotional challenges, life decisions, behavioral struggles, and personal growth. His presence is consistent, his compassion is genuine, and his belief in every child is unwavering.
He brings this same heart of service, compassion, and transformation directly into ECM.
Founder of RADL Track Club — Changing Lives Through Track & Field
As the founder of RADL Track Club (Raising Up an Alliance of Discerning Luminaries), Coach Eddie Ray used athletics as a powerful tool to transform lives.
Through discipline, structure, training, and mentorship, he helped multiple youth earn college track scholarships, opening doors that changed the direction of their futures.
Track became a vehicle to teach:
perseverance
character
self-belief
resilience
accountability
emotional strength
These same values now anchor ECM’s curriculum.
A Preacher Since 1998 — Ministry Beyond the Pulpit
Since 1998, Coach Jackson has preached the Gospel, teaching purpose, redemption, discipline, and identity in Christ. His ministry has always extended into:
schools
homes
football fields
track lanes
detention centers
community programs
He carries these spiritual values into ECM as principles of:
compassion
humility
service
hope
unconditional love
forgiveness
restoration
ECM reflects the heart of a man who has spent decades loving people back to their best selves.
A Legacy of Service: Helping 300+ Families Become Homeowners
One of Coach Eddie Ray’s proudest accomplishments is his work with the USDA Rural Development program, where he served as a Loan Packager for the Single Family Housing 502 Direct Loan program.
Through this role, he:
helped over 300 families obtain safe, stable, affordable homeownership in Louisiana
guided families through credit challenges, financial barriers, and application processes
empowered first-generation homeowners to build generational stability
used compassion and patience to serve people from every race, income level, and walk of life
This work changed families, strengthened communities, and demonstrated the same heart of service that drives ECM today.
This wasn’t just a job —
*** It was a ministry of empowerment.
The same dedication he gave those families is the same dedication he now pours into youth through ECM.
A Servant Leader for ALL People
Across every role — preacher, mentor, coach, loan packager, community leader — Coach Eddie Ray has served:
all races
all socio-economic backgrounds
all cultures
all abilities
all stories
His leadership is rooted in:
unselfishness
compassion
integrity
humility
genuine love for people
Young people feel it.
Parents notice it.
Communities depend on it.
ECM exists because of it.
A Lifetime of Service Poured Into ECM
ECM is not theory.
ECM is not guesswork.
ECM is not a project.
ECM is the full expression of a lifetime of serving youth, families, and communities.
Coach Eddie Ray brings:
the discipline of a coach
the compassion of a pastor
the strategic thinking of a mentor
the experience of a community leader
the heart of a servant
the resilience of a man who has walked alongside thousands
Everything he has learned, lived, and poured into people for decades is now poured into ECM — a program designed to transform lives and restore futures.

OUR APPROACH
ECM is built on a clear, evidence-based foundation designed to meet youth exactly where they are — emotionally, socially, mentally, and behaviorally — and guide them toward safer choices, stronger identity, and measurable personal growth. We combine the best elements of youth mental wellness, behavioral science, mentorship, and real-life skill development into one powerful system that creates transformation.
Here’s what makes ECM different:

ECM helps students identify negative thought patterns, challenge destructive beliefs, and replace harmful reactions with healthier behaviors.
This builds emotional regulation, clarity, and stronger decision-making..
Trauma-Informed Practices
Many youth carry silent wounds — stress, instability, trauma, loss, abandonment, identity confusion. ECM approaches every student with:
empathy
safety
understanding
patience
emotional guidance
We create spaces where youth feel seen, heard, and valued.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL)
Students learn to understand their emotions, recognize stress signals, manage impulses, and communicate more effectively. SEL is the heartbeat of ECM, teaching youth how to navigate life’s toughest moments with wisdom and self-control..
Cognitive Behavioral Techniques (CBT)
Real-Life Decision-Making Tools
ECM teaches students how to respond to real issues:
peer pressure
online risks
conflict
relationships
legal mistakes
emotional triggers
unsafe environments
We don’t just prepare them for class —
We prepare them for life.
Digital Safety & Social Media Awareness
Students learn how to recognize grooming, sextortion, cyberbullying, digital footprints, and online manipulation.
ECM protects youth in the world they’re actually living in.

Life Skills & Future Readiness
ECM builds practical life skills:
financial literacy
communication
responsibility
boundaries
self-care
leadership
organization
Skills that matter NOW — and forever.
Redemption Path & Identity Building
ECM teaches youth the reality of consequences, laws, rights, responsibilities, and safer decision-making.
This keeps students out of risky situations and helps them understand how to move smarter in their community.
Legal & Public Safety Education
We help students discover:
who they are
who they can become
their purpose
their value
their story
their new beginning
Students learn that their past does not define their future.
Measurable, Trackable Outcomes
ECM provides:
emotional check-ins
progress data
behavior logs
pre/post surveys
insight tools
reporting systems
This gives schools, detention centers, behavior specialists, and agencies real numbers and real evidence of growth.
Practical, Compassionate Mentorship
Everything we teach is delivered with:
love
patience
structure
consistency
truth
hope
respect
ECM is evidence-based — but also heart-driven.

ECM's Core Pillars
Every Child Matter (ECM) is built on eight foundational pillars that guide every lesson, every interaction, and every transformation. These pillars define our philosophy, our structure, and our heart for the youth we serve.

Emotional Awareness
Youth learn to identify their emotions, understand triggers, recognize stress signals, and name what they feel so they can respond instead of react.
This creates healthier communication, calmer behavior, and better decision-making.

Behavioral Reinforcement
ECM teaches youth how habits are built, how behavior patterns form, and how to replace negative cycles with positive behaviors through structure, accountability, and repetition.
Decision-Making Skills
Digital Safety & Social Media Intelligence
Through real-life scenarios, guided reflection, and cognitive tools, students learn how to slow down, think ahead, examine consequences, and make safer, smarter, healthier choices.
Youth learn how to protect themselves online from grooming, sextortion, cyberbullying, digital footprints, fake profiles, pressure, and manipulation.
We help them move smart AND safe in a digital world.

Youth learn how to recognize:
emotional overload
hopelessness
unhealthy coping
risky behaviors
warning signs in themselves and others
And they learn where to turn for help, how to ask for support, and how to stay safe in the midst of pain.
Life Skills & Future Readiness
Identity & Purpose Building
Many youth struggle with shame, confusion, or “not knowing who they are.” ECM helps them:
rebuild identity
discover purpose
develop self-worth
create a personal vision
write a new future
We restore hope and direction.

Crisis Awareness & Suicide Prevention
ECM teaches responsibility, maturity, respect, and honesty — not through punishment, but through understanding, structure, guidance, and continuous improvement.
Youth learn:
“I can grow.”
“I can change.”
“I can do better.”
“I have control over my choices.”
This pillar creates long-term transformation.
Accountability & Growth
ECM prepares students for adulthood with:
financial literacy
communication skills
organization
self-care
boundaries
leadership
time management
We build competence AND confidence.
